It takes about 1,000 shots and 100 M&M’s to get through a photoshoot with Monroe and, even then, we can’t be sure we got anything useful, but it’s all totally worth it when we get shots as good as these. I know I go a little overboard with the pictures and the documenting of every single thing we do, but I do it because I don’t want to risk forgetting even the smallest moments.
I should probably use this as an opportunity to say sorry to my mom for always rolling my eyes and making funny faces when she tried to get a good picture of me as a child (or even much older). I think of that every time Monroe flat out refuses to look at the camera. But, even now, I am far more comfortable behind the lens than in front of it.
Unfortunately, not all moms have the opportunity to take pictures of their littles, cooperative or not. Too many little ones find their way to Jesus’ arms long before they ever should. Too many mama’s miss out on the chance to see their little ones grow. I know you all see the stories of sick children on Facebook and plastered all over the internet every day, but it’s even better when we see that something is being done about it. That is where the amazing company, Tink & Key, comes to the rescue.
Tink & Key is a t-shirt company that donates 10% of its sales to a different charity or family in need, each month. What better way to spend your money than with a company that will donate a portion of your money to charity? This month they are featuring a family who has a child that is currently suffering from San Filippo Syndrome. You can read more about it on their website under the “fundraiser tab.”
In addition to the donations Tink & Key makes, their tee’s have a fantastic message. It is no secret that we are believers in Jesus Christ, and if there is ever something we, as a family, can do that gets the message of Jesus out to the masses, we do not shy away. T-shirts from Tink & Key, donning a message of love and faith, are the perfect addition to our trendy collection of kids tees.
Please visit their website www.tinkandkey.com to see their entire collection of t-shirts and apparel. If you would like to make a direct donation to their monthly charity, please click here.
