Every age so far is my favorite age and that hasn’t changed with year four.
I am obsessed with how her little mind thinks and how she is able to communicate those thoughts without any inhibition or embarrassment. I seriously want to record ever single conversation we have, but since I can’t possibly do that, I will write down as many as I can. I hope you enjoy each of these little conversation snippet as much as I do.
Carter: It would be cool if we had someone that was bigger than me.
Me: Like a big brother or a big sister?
Carter: Yeah.
Me: I always wanted that too.
Carter: Well, maybe we can have another kid and he can have FAST birthdays. Wouldn’t that be cool?
Me: Carter, why are you so beautiful?
Carter: Love makes me beautiful.
Carter: We play a game at school called “Bad Word Bathroom.”
Me: Oh. Well how do you play?
Carter: You say bad words and then you run away from the Toot.
Me: Okay…well… what kind of bad words do you say?
Carter: Bathroom bad words like, poo poo, toilet, toot, toilet bowl.
Me: (sigh of relief, hahaha)
Carter: (With the sweetest voice possible.) Roe, do you want me to get sick?
(Roe just looks at her with a confused face.)
Carter: (Again, with a very sweet voice.) Roe Roe, do you want me to get sick?
Roe: No.
Carter: THEN WHY DO YOU KEEP COUGHING ON ME!?!?
Carter: We need to get up really high so we can see the whole world.
Me: How do we get up really high?
Carter: A big plane or a big helicopter or a big big big big ladder. What would you like to use?
Me: I think we should use a ladder.
Carter: But… the top step isn’t big enough for all our foots. I think we should take the air plane.
Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose.
